:wtf: I keep burning DVDs and when I read them, it's always innaccessable. I thought NECs were good drives :ugh:

Could be bad media or even a bad drive.

Does the drive read other discs ok?

It reads and makes backups just fine, so it must be the media.

What brand of media would you recommend? :dunno:

www.videohelp.com lists all the media that is compatable with which particular drive.

taiyo yuden's seem to be the most universal, but there are some that do perform better on some

I, too, favor Taiyo Yuden's for use w/ my NEC 16X DL DVD±RW drive.
