What do you guys think? I think if they focus on more subtle themes and less on their super powers but more about humanity and human deviancy and other themes they're obviously striving for it should be a pretty good show. From the looks of it, the actors aren't too bad, it's not over the top like that one show on UPN, "Mutant X".

I don't have anything that can view .avi files. Is there a certain player that I should download, or do I need a certain codec instead?

Ha, I guess I messed with the divx files, because reinstalling it made the magic screen work.

Semi SPOILERS ahad. So, stop if you don't want it. I'll put it in white text, so just highlight it. But they're not really spoilers.

Needless to say, I just watched Heroes. It's awesome! I love the way the use Tim Sale's concept art as the pre-cog's art; because, afterall, that's what concept art is! It was just genius the way they pieced those facts together.

I also enjoyed the Japanese dude, Hiro. He's probably going to be the comic relief imo. He was in the pilot, at least :big grin:

The Indian guy was also cool, I wonder how they'll develop him. I'm guessing he may become the one that assembles the group. I also liked the way they tied everyone together in bits and pieces.

But I especially love the plot twist at the end of the pilot. That gives me 2 ounces of hope for this series if they can pull off twists that well.

Agreed. I really liked it. Their writers seem pretty "there" if you know what I mean. I hope this show really takes off because it's pretty good. I think that the whiney nurse guy needs to be a little toned down because his whining is a little much and it's a little over the top how they write him. "I'm following my DESTINY!!!!!"

Do you think we should make a new thread for spoilers along with rumors and speculations? Because I don't want to spoil it in this thread, but I wanna talk about it!

Thank god they changed the Zimmer music to something original. It was reminding me of Batman Begins way too much. :hs:

Anyone besides me keeping up with the show? Anyways, I've been trying to track down something of a link between two people in the show. Here's what I was confused on, and then my findings:

There was a pattern formed on papa Suresh's laptop screen when Mohinder ran the program right? You know, the green gibberish scrolling sideways. Here's the pattern I saw:[IMG]

Now, later in that show (episode 2, btw), they showed a scene in Isaac's apartment (the pre-cog) with a painting showing that same symbol, but verticalized and prettier. I was thinking that there has to be some significance to this. They didn't elaborate on this in episode 3, but it is now known that Mohinder didn't know what was going on with the screen (score 1 point for me vs. genius people from India!).

Now, I was doing some homework for O-Chem and came across this page:
    http://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/summary/summary.cgi?cid=7843
To the right of the picture, 2nd line down: Protein Structures. See that symbol!?! Yeah. I thought so too. Now given the weird connection formed with Sylar, the appearance of this in the pre-cog's art (which means it's gotta be significant), and the existence on the lappy of Papa Suresh, I'm going to take a leap here and say that Sylar is genetically altered through some enzymatic processes via a technique created by a frustrated papa Suresh, whereas all the other "heroes" were naturally made by batsecks. The artificial process with enzymes and proteins will have side effects, evidenced by what Sylar has done.
