lol, I get the military.com newsletter everyday and this was in it and figured brack and some others on here would be interested since he's currently applying to the army's WOFT.

    heh, i meant the program

but whatever floats your boat, literally

i really enjoyed my time with the squids. the atmosphere is very relaxed and not nearly as uptight as the air force. of course, the downside is that every room doesn't have a plasma tv, in fact our ready room wasn't even air conditioned (20 -30 guys in a room on the top floor of the hanger in the 95 degree heat and humidity of pensacola - not much fun). you also don't get the personnel support that you get in the air force - you'll get screwed out of tdy pay and stuff like that.

but overall i enjoyed the mentality, especially when it came to actually flying, moreso than the air force, which is all about rules and regs. the squids actually fly to have fun.

Just kidding on joining the Navy. Going from the Army to the Air Force was bad enough.

It will be interesting to see what type of aircraft they fill with the Warrant Officers.
