    definitely a badass but my Iraq vet marine buddies said there was no point in jumping on it he could have kicked it away or thrown it. the Iraqi nades aren't that powerful and he could have lived and lost a limb rather than died.

    Who picks who is going to recieve the medal? Is it the president, congress, the military branches, a combination, ect

    :ugh:. situations like this dont usually result in someone sitting there thinking, "you know.. i could kick it.. and just lose a limb.. hmm..". i doubt he even hesitated. just a natural reaction.

    my brother lost a buddy in a similar way when he was in iraq.. the weird part was that the night before he told one of his buddies, "i know im going to die here, i know i wont make it home.."
