    ... Crunchy Granola Barsssss. Yum.

So last night I drilled armbar and triangle from S-mount. Triangle from mount is probably the worst submission EVER. Especially in MMA because they'll punch you a few times in the face as well.

No, not at all. If anything it's easier to set up, and harder to defend against. In MMA you have more to distract them with while your mount is higher. Lift their head and get your leg behind, and when in triangle position you really have control of them, it's hard as all hell to get out of and if you don't want to or can't submit them... punch the shit out of their face. Kharitonov won a fight that way I believe.

I like to do this from the bottom and when they flop over on their side turn my hips and end up in a "mounted triangle". Then you're free to swing away.

Can you explain this more? I'm new to bjj. I know what a triangle is, and I understand what you are saying so far...but what do you do once your one leg is behind their neck, do you pull them back so you are on the bottom? I'm having a really hard time imagining pulling a triangle off while being on top the whole time.

I always s-mount if i'm going for an armbar. you can really isolate the arm and you can finish it while you're still sitting on him so you don't give up position if you screw up.
