That is the question. Being honest and serious, what do you guys believe is a realistic goal for someone to achieve during a 16 week period? Let say their goal was to maintain the same weight, but simply change BF%. Choose a start point of 20%bf. No drugs are allowed.

It depends on how extreme you want to diet and how much lean mass you're willing to lose.

Maintaining the same weight and lowering bf% naturally is gonna be a bitch.

they are maintaining weight just losing BF, so losing lean mass isnt a good thing

Would be hard to maintain weight while dropping bf, simply because you can lose fat much faster than you can pack on muscle. But I've seen natural BB's lose upwards of 25-30 lbs in 16 week period while conserving muscle mass or at least losing very little.

It's just a hypothetical. I'm dying to post my before/after pics from 16 weeks of dieting. I do my after pictures tomorrow at a photoshoot.

I'd like to see the pics once you get them, did you follow the Cut Diet exactly for those 16 weeks?

I would assume you would lose a good amount of muscle due to the fact your test levels drop while being in a deficit that long.

in...........can we agree it would all depend on the person if you are ruling out drugs? also would depend on body type, current mass, specific current bf% (easier to drop with higher bf than from say 10% to 3%)

and since noone has thrown out a number i will be the first to do so

following a good diet starting a 20% in 4months someone could bring it down around 14% :hsugh:

    I'll just say this.

I'm an ectomorph, always been thin. My name 1fast400 comes from running the 400 meters in college. When I started this, my health was shit. Stress was so bad you guys can't imagine. I was 163 at 22% bf when I started. I'm 5'10 or so, I was holding ALL of it in my freaking stomach. I got so used to sucking in, I never thought about it. Everyone always thought I was skinny, but not skinny fat. I went to chuck rudolph who I've worked with numerous times when helping others and was very impressed with the results. I asked him what I should do to get my BP and other issues inline. He threw me on the cutdiet, it's tough, but I followed it. My only supplements during this time were: Isolate protein, BCAA's, sesamin, multivitamin, omacor (friend reps for them so I got free samples), glutamine and creatine.

Since I had not trained for 7 years, I had to crawl before I walked. Chuck put me on a circuit based program, upper body 2x per week and lower body 2x per week. I had 1 minute rest between sets with a total of 30 sets or so in a workout. After 6-7 weeks we switched to a more conventional workout 4x per week. Eventually up to 5x a week with 20 min of cardio after working out.

I'm stoked about the results. I'm getting a full blood panel done once I get back from the O. I just switched doctors and have to get a complete physical anyway. It's just nice not to have bloody noses everyday.

You're using the guidelines in the cut diet book to alter blood profile or did you modify some things to fit your needs ?
Your results will probably be way better since you've changed everything and some simple changes can be quite effective (I convinced my father to stop drinking orange juice in the morning and his tryagliceride levels went way down).

For me it was blood pressure. My blood pressure was pretty high. Doctor told me I had to get my act together or die very early. 30 days later I sold the company

we seem to have a similar background and reason for working out... i used to have high cholestrol and stopped lifting for 7 yrs or so myself to achieve a bf of 20%... on top of that i smoked and binge drank...

i'm 16 months in now and feel much better... much props for you!! I know it wasn't easy.

I figured it was the blood pressure. Mine was pretty high too. Had to make very big changes too but am much happier now. Props to you...
