    If you read a few posts down.. I was asking last night on tips for shooting wildlife.. cause I just got my DSLR a few days ago. Anyways skipped class today.. went to D.C. to the National Zoo.

    EVERY monkey/ape was hiding or sleeping.. and they all had like newspapers or blankets on their head.. i dont know why.. maybe because it's beenl ike 30-40 degrees and they're cold? but today was 60 degrees here in D.C. so im' not sure why the ape was doing that.

    I think you did a nice job, the butterfly pictures are great as well. Some pictures could benefit from a lot less USM, but overall great!

    Unsharp Mask. Some of the pictures look pretty oversharpened to me.

    yah i used ;sharpen' on some of them..oops guess i overdid it

    Generally with a soft lens that's dead on focused, I use USM 100/1/1, with good glass, I avoid it if I can, but otherwise 4-50/1/1. Anything more than that the sharpening starts degrading image quality and it's obvious.

    Nice pics... I need to get myself back to the Zoo again :) I went on New Years but didn't get to see Tai Shan :(

    what lens were u using?? Looks like you could have got a little closer on some of those shots. Nice pics though. I like the first.
