I placed an order for two 50 cal ammo cans last week from CheaperThanDirt and they both arrived today, one of them was great and in perfect condition but the other one was completely rusted out on the inside and there was this nasty wet stuff everywhere and it had this rancid odor to it, it was fucking disgusting. I realize that these are military surplus and you can't expect everything to be perfect, but this is just ridiculous.

But kudos to CheaperThanDirt, I just gave them a call and explained the situation to them and they're sending me out a new one for free and they're paying shipping. I asked about sending the nasty one back and they just told me to throw it out. Now that's customer service!

I just felt like I should make this thread after the great customer service I received from CTD.

I occasionally get ammo from them, I did order a set of those storage trays that fit in the .50 ammo cans kinda handy i keep alot of my spare parts in them and misc small shit. I usually buy my ammo cans locally though, got like 8 of them under my desk filled with ammo :bigthumb: come to think of it 1 or 2 of them did come from CTD were free with ammo

Yep right at 820 and 35. In the summer I work for a buddy in Ft Worth and we live right off of 30 in downtown Ft Worth. I go in there once a week. Nice folks. I've never had a problem ordering from them either. I wish I had more reason to go down there in the the winter months. Cabelas rocks. ;)

Don't, because eventually they would catch on and you would ruin it for those of us who really did receive rusted nasty ones.

Why not just go to your local mil surp place and look at the damn cans for yourself? Probably cheaper too.

ATF fucktards shut down the shop I bought most of my ammo cans from but they were all like $7, I've got .50, .30 and 2 russian ones that are about .50 size.

J & G sales.com has some cheap ammo cans for sale. I still wish CTD had the .30cal six pack of ammo cans. That was a great deal.
