I went to see it because all of my friends said it should be funny. Well I think it sucked. There were few funny moments, and there was a gay plot to the movie. Anyone else think it was crap?

No, if you do a search on OT, you will find that absolutely no one here thought it sucked. :uh:

I guess either you like it or you don't. I saw it with a bunch of friends and most of them did not like it...

i thought it was pretty ghey too, "plot" was slow, not really that funny, maybe true geeks were too close to home so they thought it boring while the rest of the world laughs at them? =P
seriously though, it was SLOW, only funny parts involved the mexican with the bike.

    :werd: nigga!

Don : Hey, Napoleon. What did you do last summer again?
Napoleon Dynamite : I told you! I spent it with my uncle in Alaska hunting wolverines!
Don : Did you shoot any?
Napoleon Dynamite : Yes, like 50 of 'em! They kept trying to attack my cousins, what the heck would you do in a situation like that?
Don : What kind of gun did you use?
Napoleon Dynamite : A freakin' 12-gauge, what do you think?

It was funny, because it was obvious that he was lying, and his lie had to continue getting more elaborate as Don kept questioning him. He likes to lie alot in the movie, because he feels like it will help him fit in. Case in point:

Problem is, his lies are so outragious that no one in their right mind would believe them.

This is a great character study movie, but those looking for a "plot" may need to look elsewhere.

I think there must be something wrong with you in the head if you don't find that funny.

I went and saw it because everyone i talked to hyped it up so god damn much. It was mediocore at best. Good character ideas, but no development. It could have been a lot better than it was. Not the great comic master piece that everyone is making it out to be.

http://www2.foxsearchlight.com/napoleondynamite Lol, that site has some really funny interactive shite. the video clips are great reminders of what i was laughin' about in the theatres, especially the scene with Kip and his uncle in the diner.

Goin' a bit far with the fan club, though.
