Was just watching the UFN from july 19- anderson vs. irvin.

I gotta say, frankie edgar, although should be @ 145 has gotta be one of the most underrated fighters out there. NOBODY ( besides hard core fans ) really know who he is, yet he has beaten tyson griffin, mark bocheck, spenser fisher and recently hermes franca. his only loss has been from the much bigger gray maynard- and gray played it pretty safe pulling out the decision.

Dude has shown some really amazing heart, a GREAT chin and skillset.

anybody else you guys think that should get a little more recognition ??

karo parysian, but im a judo nut hugger so i like to see those guys go well. his most recent loss to thiago alves is nothing to be ashamed of, especially considering the judoka thiago had to train with him. He recently signed an 8 fight contract with the UFC so its make or break time for him, but if his current physiological issues give him some troubles, he might not be the same old karo

Yoshiyuki yoshida, up and commer, another fantastic judo guy. Will be an interesting fight with kos.

Dustin Hazelett - Holy shit on his submissiosn

Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza - lol at his unfortunate knock out but also :wtc:. When this guys boxing gets slightly good, his gonna kill everyone. A judo black belt, BJJ black belt world champion and training at Xtreme Couture. I am expecting huge things from this guy

Demian Maia - Lol at his crazy bjj

I tihnk Cote and Lindland both belong in the over-rated catagory.

because a lot of people think lindland can beat anderson silva..

i dont know if hes over or under but I think he's on of those people who gets by on being inactive

I don't think KenFlo's as underrated as he was in the past.. I think people who know mma know how good he is.. I think it's just that his potentially fighting BJ Penn and people assume hes going to lose.. Which is the drawback of being in BJ's weight class.. but I def think he's being recognized more and good to see that cos hes a cool guy.. and he finishes fights.. except huerta

There's a lot of names in here I would never think someone would put as under-rated! Some of these guys are the most highly-touted or hyped around, and many are ranked top contenders. WTF!

    no way he beats anderson.

however back in 2005/2006 he would have presented a better fight against franklin than the crow or nate quarry.

i think he's definitely lost a step. he's fought alot of pointless fights in the past 2 years. rampage, *.ifl, and fedor. but he's a crafty vet, that can surprise some people and win some serious fights if he worked hard and spent some quality time in a solid camp.
but i think he'd prefer to waste time in politics nowadays.

no shame in not finishing huerta.
huerta is still progressing as a fighter, but he's one of the newer breed-type mma fighters that are jacks of all trades but masters of none. like forrest, tyson griffin, frankie edgar. theyre good, athletic, and aim to be well rounded. but they dont master any of the arts.

I wouldn't call Griffin and Edgar masters of none, they're superb wrestlers.

true on the pointless fights.. too bad ufc blacklisted him or it would've been nice to see him fight top comp a couple years ago.

Florian mentioned Huerta's odd quick style as a reason for not finishing him.. I kinda believe him.. Huerta's def a guy you have to be careful with.. as shown with clay guida destruction
