if you are looking for a sports car only, then take a look at a Datsun 510, or a Datsun S30 Z....

I can't even think of many 2 door 4cyl cars to be honest.. RSX, Integra, Solara, Accord Coupe, That's about it..

You could probably find an 03-04 accord coupe in that price range.

Celica, Eclipse, Civic Si, Mini Cooper, Miata, MR2 Spyder... New Beetle :mamoru:

I'd go with one of the roadsters, but if that's too impractical, Mini Cooper S > base RSX for similar money. And you can probably get a minivan Si for less than an RSX. Personally I like 4-door compact cars, but eh, some people have an aversion to them.

the base RSX will be a great car, Type-S will be better.

03 WRX would be a good option as well, but the gas mileage would probably be a little less than the RSX

    you're fucking insane if you'd take a rsx base over a 1.8t.
the 1.8ts run to sixty just a handful of seconds slower than rsx-s. when you factor in interior it isn't even a competition. and yes, the rsx is more reliable.

I was about to rip you to shreds figuring you were another one of the idiots stuck so far up the 'VDUB' scenes ass you couldn't think logically anymore until I saw that.

One thing though, a lot of people value reliability more than performance or interior.

A handful of seconds ... that's a lot. My friend has a 1.8T and it was barely faster than my 4cyl 4-door 01 accord.

um yeah pretty sure a 1.8t will have no problem clearing even a EP3 Si son.http://www.modernracer.com/vwgti18t.html
0-60 in 6.5, was that a 1.8T AUTOMATIC PASSAT? lol

The RSX is not a fun car to drive on long distances. It has no arm rest which gets REALLY annoying.
