I'm thinking of going. I live in Baltimore so its roughly 3 hours away. It'll be my first grappling tournament so needless to say I'm pretty excited about it. I'm going to enter under the beginner division weighing in at around 195. Been training 1.5 yrs.

How many matches do you think I'll have assuming I win my division? Will there be sandbaggers in my division? And only 3 minute matches? Jeez. I guess any input or experiences would help. Thanks.

I'm definitely going this wkend. Is anyone else? I don't really know anyone in these forums, but thought I'd ask anyway. I just hope I don't lose my first matches.

Where in Bmore do you train?

I trained with Baltimore BJJ when I lived there last year.

That's where I'm at now. Been there for about 3 months. Lee is a good guy.

Before that I trained at Ground Control, but at GC it was more of MMA training rather than specifically just jiu-jitsu.

    Which NAGA is this?

There is going to be a grapplers quest March 7th in Wildwood, NJ which is also about 3 hours away from you.

On another note, I am about 196 lbs now.....all muscle. I think I can lose the 6-7lbs of water weight in hopes of getting down to 189. Is it worth it?

Yea I grapple with them a lot. Courtney and Ned always seem to be there for every class. Very hard workers. If you talk to them just mention I'm the dude with the red/blue gis/white belt/strong/fast, etc. They should know who I am. I'm probably going to ask Ned for some private coaching before NAGA this weekend just to keep fresh.

If you need some extra help with wrestling or want to do some boxing get either Ned or Courtney to take you out to Team Raw Dog in central Bmore.

Its in the ghetto but the guy that runs that place is a super guy and is a great wrestling coach.

We always went out there on the weekends, then I started going there as my only training place for a little while.

Be sure to train with Min if you go there. Russian guy is GOOOOOD.
