    Hi guys,

    I'm fairly new to photography. I have an Olympus E-500 and have been trying out a few different things with it, but i'm still to learn anything cool with it. I have been looking for a tutorial on a few things, but I can't really find much.

    So I was wondering if someone here could give me a hand;

    - Is there somewhere with specific tutorials for this camera?

    and

    - What is the best way to change shutter speed on this camera?

    I was out at the local coastline last night taking a few pics, and if I take the setting off Auto, the shutter stays open for long enough to get night pics (although the colouring needs adjusting) But I can't work out how to control the time it is open.
    Example:

    When I used this method to take a few night shots, I wasn't happy with them, for a few reasons, but the main reason was that when I open the pics up at full size on my PC, they have hundreds of random small coloured dots across the picture, which almost looks like pixels in my monitor have died (but they haven't). Could this just be light playing up because of the long exposure?

    Any info or help would be appreciated.

    If you bought your camera new, it would have come with a great tutorial: the manual.
