I'm trying to move a very large phpBB 2.0.6 database from one host to another host.

i've spent many hours trying to get this to work, to no avail. i really don't know about about phpbb/mysql since i just use the hosts' automatic installs.

what is the best way I can go about doing this?

    thanks! :bigthumb:

user PHPMYADMIN to dump your database to a file then reupload it on the new server

Use mysqldump to dump the database, scp it to your new host, then use mysqlimport on your new host to import the database.
