Mysql databases

    I need a database for a phpbb forum that i am trying to get running on my site. does anyone have a good link about how to set up the mysql database for this use?

    For phpbb, all you have to do is create an empty database, and give the phpbb installer the db name, username and password. If you're using a server with cpanel, just use phpmyadmin to create the database.

    my problem is geting the database onto my server so that phpbb can find it right now its still on my local hd

    login to mysql and CREATE DATABASE blah;

    Have the config point at database blah

    You can't just copy the database over.. If you have a dump file(.sql) you can recreate it by logging into mysql at a command, or through phpmyadmin. If its an empty database, just create a new one on the server, either through mysql directly, or through phpmyadmin.
