So my Xbox 360 Elite just got the Red Ring of Lulz 2.5 years into it's life. And coincidentally, I am receiving a 17" MacBook Pro in the mail tomorrow morning. Guess what box I'm sending it in. Also, would that be a stupid idea?

They ship you a box with a free shipping label and shit, do that or send in your own box and print out the label they email to you. Doesn't really matter what box it is...

They stopped sending coffins. They either let you print one or send you a sticker.

Nope. They will still send you a box + shipping label if you ask for it. I found this out when my box got the RROD two weeks ago

MBP box is too sexy to give up :hs: Keep that in case you ever sell the computer and have to ship it. Who knows what they'll ship it back in.

Also, it won't fit in the MBP box.

go buy a ps3 and send it back in the ps3 box with a note that says, "since you wont ship me a box for your faulty system, i went to gamestop and bought one.. take your time"

your xbox won't even fit in a MBP box... also, you should not insult such nice packaging with such an awful piece of hardware... put it in a trash bag, throw the label on it and hope for the best..

    then go buy a ps3

anyone else find it funny that a couple people claim microsoft's customer service with regards to RROD got shittier...

and 2 people refute it because their own systems red ring'd a week ago? people's systems dying left and right.
