    My winter project....
Welp i have my old 1981 Yamaha XS-400S jsut out int he garage and i decided she'll be sold in the spring. No way i can sell it in the condition she is in - No mufflers, broken speedo and tachometer.
So i decided why not try and get the most i can for her and have fun doing so.

Planning on getting her back in tip - top shape with new bolts and rubber along with a shiny new coat of paint. I'll keep you guys updated on progress as things work there way along.

Didn't think of grabbing full pics of it together. But here (http://www.motorbikes.be/en/Yamaha/1981/XS%20400%20Special/) you can get the idea.

If you don't want to go on a restoration route, you could make that into a streetfighter look-alike.

Some teenager would get a cool looking bike that won't kill him his first day out. (although he'd probably say no Gixxer, no care)

Looks like a good project although I'm confused about why you're doing over the winter. Do you mean to suggest you can't ride all year round where you're at?

I see... You have your work cut out for you then. Good luck with the project. Aslong as you can find parts it shouldn't be to bad. Keep us posted on your progress.

Looks like it's going to be a fun resto for the bike........

A little TLC and cleaning will be well worth it when you go to sell it in the spring, when motorcycle prices are inflated anyway
