So, she finally figured out how to print on candy bags and now its a huge hit. 3 out of her last 5 weddings have ordered them. I guess the laser printer was eating them up before it would print on them since the bags were so thin, but a few changes in the settings, and viola... this is what you have.

Shouldn't the 'a' in the second sentence ("as beautiful...") be capitalized?

Those look really nice, she's pretty talented.

She's learned her lesson in assuming what people want. These days, she asks her clients to provide the wording, punctuation, spelling, grammar, and capitalization of their special orders like the candy bag above. That way when they bitch and moan about it being wrong, she just forwards the email she got from them orginally and lets them know it was their fault rather than hers. Works out great!

A responsible designer will at least try to proof read and offer suggestions for improvement.

and not to bash your wife, but the sand dollar has a drop shadow and none of the other shells do. Making the drop shadow consistent will help the graphics pop.

She has templates and she has suggestions for everyone regarding their wording. she's found that some people want what they want, regardless of suggestions, tradition, or any other aspect that goes into it. When it comes to invites, menus, and programs, 99% of the brides have no clue what to do so she does it for them according to the templates. Spell checking, words, and other things are the mandatory things, but to please everyone she can't just do what she wants and tell them they're wrong.

And as for the picture, I mentioned that to her when it printed. She's looking to see if she can find a picture to make it uniform, but again, the picture was provided by the client because 'thats what she wanted'. And honestly, even that is better than the bride's original idea... which was possibly the ugliest invites and accessories I've ever laid eyes on. No offense to brides out there, but some need serious help when it comes to taste!

Not everyone has the talent, knowledge, skills, or the resources to do that. :dunno:

Hehe now thats something I haven't gotten to remove from a printer yet. Transparencies, and construction paper all the time though.

If you ever have questions about printer settings or media types just ask. I'm a certified expert on that one.
