Saturday we spent 10 hours in a CHL class. I was just there for refresher, mainly. But she was very participatory and enjoyed herself. Today we went to the indoor range. Brought my 1911 and its .22 conversion kit. So she shot .22 for about a half hour, then she put about two mags of .45 through the gun. She did not much care for it, but did pretty well given that it was her first non-.22LR experience. Then I went out to the desk and rented an XD9 for her because she liked the way it felt in her hand. We put a practice box through it and then she took the shooting part of the CHL test and did VERY WELL. I am very proud of her.
