Saturday we spent 10 hours in a CHL class. I was just there for refresher, mainly. But she was very participatory and enjoyed herself.

Today we went to the indoor range. Brought my 1911 and its .22 conversion kit. So she shot .22 for about a half hour, then she put about two mags of .45 through the gun. She did not much care for it, but did pretty well given that it was her first non-.22LR experience. Then I went out to the desk and rented an XD9 for her because she liked the way it felt in her hand. We put a practice box through it and then she took the shooting part of the CHL test and did VERY WELL.

I am very proud of her.

    They're illegal to carry here.
She's a flagrant violator of the law.
    I should punish her.:hsd::naughty:

Yeah....... no. If my wife all of a sudden decided guns are "not allowed", she'd be out the door and "not allowed."

    See ya bye.

If she said its me or the guns? Yes, I would.
Sounds shitty huh? So would her proposition. I was into guns before I met her, and I'll be into to guns after her.

Luckily it would never happen, she loves go to the range with me, and has accepted the fact that I carry regularly.

As would I. People keep saying things like "You'd ditch them for that?" when the real problem is the fact that they made an ultimatum in the first place. Not to mention owning and using guns is an important constitutional right to exercise and a hell of a life insurance policy. Only this one pays to keep you alive.

"Stop doing heroin or I'm out." Okay

"Stop *insert .etc here* or I'm out." Buh-bye.

There are things I could give up, or cut down on, in order to save my marriage.
But if it comes down to not being able to protect myself, or my kids, or even HER... then she can get lost. I feel very strongly about this subject.
Could I cut down on drinking? Yeah. Could I not going out with my friends... well, I could cut down, but not stop.
I could compromise on many different things.... except guns.

Yeah I guess I'm pretty much the same. The gun thing just might have hit a sore spot.:hs: To me it's about on the same level with insisting I leave the front door open with a huge sign saying "free beer and chicks inside." Not going to happen.

More awesomeness. Since she got a really nice sewing machine & serger set for Christmas, and she just spent a ton of money in New York on clothes & fabric, she has decided she's going to make me some pants.

AMONGST the features these pants will have (per my request) is a little pocket that is designed to hold a magazine. INSIDE my pants pocket. So instead of carrying the thing in the bottom of my pants pocket it will be in its own pocket.

FTMFW. I also asked her to add this feature to my existing pants. :coold:
