    well heres my vdub

the mods I've done off the top of my head are..

    -18x8 axis supermeshes w/ toyo t1s tires
    -94 corvette sawblades 17x8.5/9.5 w/ stretched kumhos
-fliks painted gold w/ hancook winter tires

    -KW v2 coilovers
-ecs 2 piece 12.3 "oem" bbk
    -dieselgeek skidplate
    -neuspeed rear sway
-H&R 8mm and 15mm spacers for the supermeshes

    -apr 93 chip
    -kinetic fmic
    -forge turbo inlet
    -forge 07 dv
    -ghl 2.5" downpipe
    -milltek 2.5" cb
    -pflo intake
    -dieselgeek short shifter
    -ecs stage 2 clutch w/ 14lb flywheel

-oem stubby mirrors (my pride and joy haha)
    -gli front valence
    -generic sideskirts (dubtechnik i think)
    -emphase rear valence
-jom 4 bar badgeless, or kamei badgeless grill (depending on how i want it to look haha)
    -depo smoked e-codes
    -gli taillights
    -mhw smoked fender markers

    -kenwood excelon x879 head unit
    -10" boston g2 sub w/ custom enclosure i built
    -rockford fosgate amp
-awe tuning/omori boost and oil psi gauges
    -w8 overhead console
    -awe pedals
    -rieger illuminated shift knob

mods that I already have, but havent installed
    -boser hood extension
    -emphase "clean" side skirts
    -arizen racing seats

mods I'd like to do in the future
    -porsche 12.3 bbk
-pagparts gt28rs or 2871r big turbo setup
-eurojet fmic (i want to get rid of the couplers and hopefully hide the fmic pipes)
    -limited slip differential
-maybe new wheels, too many choices but work vs-xx's are one of them (I love goldddd)
-pioneer p880 or p800prs head unit (looks so clean and my kenwood is starting to shit the bed)

there are other things but I cant remember them off the top of my head right now. Also, I have smoked sidemarkers but I keep them off the car because Mass state police are tough. I got pulled over and got hit with a silly $35 ticket for having the smoked bumper markers. He didn't say anything about the fender markers so I left them in :big grin:

so here is what it looks like

I dont have many pics with the corvette wheels only because I picked them up in late fall. I'm probably going to be selling them as I need to have function over form (I think the vette wheels look wicked badass and clean, but they are just too damn heavy w/ the adapters. also driving staggered wheels on a fwd car kind of sucks haha)

here are the seats I was talking about earlier. I'm probably going to wait until after inspection (May) to install them.

here is my picture followed by the guy's that built em

oh, and here is how my car looks right now, only much dirtier

I think thats it for now. let me know what you think guys :bigthumb:

Awesome car! I like the first wheels the best, they just flow so well with the car. The only thing I can see that looks weird is the blue IC hoses. I think black would look cleaner.

not sure if I'm going to get another intercooler setup. If i did, I wouldn't have any exposed pipes or couplers. If I dont, I will definitely pick up a set of black couplers. damn things are so much money though (easily over $100 to buy all new couplers)

thanks for the kind words guys :bigthumb::bigthumb:

Actually, they both look like shit. These look much better:

That's my car, in case it needed to be said.

Silly kids think they need $1500 wheels to make their car handle better. It's all about the sidewall height, the rest is just bling. You want to blow $1000 more than my wheels cost, I can't stop you, but it won't do shit for ya. I'd rather put that money to good use, myself.

    1. those wheels are hideous. Sorry to be so blunt but I dont like those generic style wheels and not only that, they dont have any dish at all (only a few wheels can get away with no dish, and those arent one of them)

    2. my car is fwd. Do you think that handling is the most important factor for me? Hell no. I like to have good handling but its not my top priority. It's a fwd daily driver. I dont need something that can turn 1g on a skidpad (which is why I got rid of the azenis I used to have)

    3. sidewall height means nothing. It's sidewall stiffness, tire width, and tread pattern (for wet) and tire compound that gives you "handling." You have 30 series tires but it will mean nothing if its a shitty all season pattern with crappy rubber.

On the supermeshes, I was running 225/40 falken azenis. Now their sidewalls were rock hard, had an awesome tread pattern, and were sticky as fuck. Now thats what gives you "good handling" but they rode too rough for my taste so I sold em and put my toyo t1s's back on (a pretty good summer tire although the goodyear eagle f1's were my favortie). Dont "teach" me about handling. Thanks.

Also, higher end wheels are usually better for two reasons: 1. they are lightweight and 2. they are strong. no cheap wheel, not even rotas, can give you lightweight and strong in the same sentence. Thats why some wheels are so money, because they are quality.

Btw I dont want to come off as a dick on this site being such a newb with no av lol

I'm not messing with the front ride height at all. My front end skims the ground every time I pull out of my driveway (yes I pull out at an angle) and I've already had a couple hits with the skidplate.

For the rear, yeah I need to lower them. I have to install new rear swaybar endlinks so I'll lower the rear when I go to that part. I gotta pull the perches I think :ugh:

Hell no. They weigh more than the steelies the car came with. They do tighten up the handling nicely, though.

Hideous or not, they don't look out of place on the car like some kid spent all the cash from his summer job on the blingiest wheels he could find. It's your focus on the wheels, as opposed to the car as a whole, that is your downfall, grasshopper.

Too bad you don't understand that there are three other directions your car can "handle" in besides forward, and the car's performance in those other three directions has nothing to do with where the driveaxle is. (Excepting weight balance, of course.)

Yeah, okay, I oversimplified this one. However, flatly contradicting me loses you some points. You know damn well (I hope) that sidewall height affects sidewall stiffness. You could have solid tires and they'd still feel squirrelly if they were tall enough.

"Money" isn't an adjective, but I'll leave that one alone. Bottom line: strong is good, but spending an extra $1000 to save 10lbs. is stupid unless you're actually racing the car. There's just not enough benefit to it to justify the expense.

You can fix that by buying a subscription. If you can afford all those sets of wheels, you can afford a sub.

I will agree the best wheels are those you find on that fine line between looks and performance value. The lightest and strongest wheels aren't always the most expensive though. There are plenty of feather weights that will stand the torments of track driving and not put a hole in you wallet.
