    it looks like that thing in the back of your mouth... forgot what it's called, but... if the light source is coming from the bottom right and the object is curved and narrows to connect to the top you would see more of a shadow above the waves...you might want to thin out your line weight at the bottom where the light is hitting as well... this way you'll create more of an illusion of brightness.

    This is real nice. Makes me think of clayworks, don't ask why.

    Anyways, try to make the lines clearer (no thin outline required, heavily marked gradient will do), thats about all i can say. niceley done!
