no pics of sister, haha
What are the repercussions, I hope she doesn't get kicked out.
Article 15? I dont think they'll give her the boot unless she had a DUI or something. People get OWNED here for DUIs.
Had a guy caught out here in Japan for it, Air Force. He got hit with an Article 15, loss of both striped(he was A1C), put on 30 days of special duties(work everyday for a month for 12 hours), and cannot drive ever on this base.
He was DUI. So look at that, MAYBE tone it down a bit. The First Shirt who took care of him was a hardass, but he probably needed it, he has since been a much more prodcutive Airman.
Nope, no DUI, just got caught drinking underage in Okanawa.
It all depends on her CO, i went to mast for underage drinking. I got the full punishment of 45/45 (45 days restriction and extra duty) reduction in paygrade from e4 to e3, and half months pay x2 (basically cut a full months pay off)
EDIT: but i know alot of people who just got their wrists slapped or some lesser combination of those punsihments. Honestly the worst part was the condemned label that was put on me for the next 2 and ahalf years by all of my superiors, only 2 or 3 of them supported me after that and they had all come to the ship after i finished my punishment. I had to transfer when my time came to get a fresh start.
Damn that sounds pretty steep for underage drinking. Luckily Ill be 21 when I'm done with A-school.
Like i said its all up to the CO...2 weeks after i got in trouble a friend of mine got in a fist fight with 5 cops (no joke) bloodying them all up, his LPO had to bail him out of jail at 4:30 AM so that he didnt miss ships movement and all he got was 45/45. While he was on restriction he got in trouble twice more and ended up getting kicked out, leaving me thinking. Why the fuck would he get leniency for that and i would get the book thrown at me for underage drinking
Loss of rank
1/2 months pay
my sister was caught with underage drinking and was still in A school
She was sent to CCU in jax, fl for like 45 days
she got off way too easy as she was also on watch that night AND was driving. the gate guards caught her as she was coming in. didnt get pegged for DUI
no pics of my sis either
edit: she also had a public captain's mast hearing where all of the A school students attended. talk about some embarrassing shit
FUCK THE WORLD
It was bad enough in the classroom on the ship with about 30 people from all different workcenters in there to speak up for me and i STILL got my peepee slammed
You guys seem to have it awful harsh. I've never seen anyone get much of anything for just drinking (IE: No fights, DUI, late to formations, on duty, ect).
Worst part about my story is it was 7 days before my 21st birthday and i made it all the way back to my ship without getting in trouble, and my own division officer was the CDO (in charge while CO is gone) that night, she could have easily told me to go to bed and had me punished in any non formal way she wanted...which would have been smart considering i had been getting alot of praise for my work when i first got there and was in for a NAM at the time. Instead she decided to file a report with the master at arms and send me up....
shit man, you seem to have gotten a raw deal. thats really jacked up. i guess the navy is really trying to clean up its image and wont tolerate anything.
my sister had master sergeants from the marine corps to speak on her behalf and they still sent her to CCU
the army would have slapped you on the wrist and took away a saturday giving you physical punishment
does that incident still affect your record?
She will be fine.
Now....about those pics.
As soon as i transferred it didnt affect me at all. And i saw countless other people get slapped on the wrist for the same incident or even worse when they were caught only by their own chain of command (like i was). So hopefully the sister wont get it as bad as me which in the long run still wasnt that bad. I made it through...
Never been in the military but it seems extremely stupid they don't have allowances for military individuals and drinking. Seriously, if you can carry a gun and go into a warzone to die for your country you should be allowed to drink if you want.
she at Keesler AFB.
She WAS an AG..now she is in culinary school and living it up
I once attending a public hanging where the First Sergeant did the exact same thing but the CO said that what a Marine does out of uniform is just as important as what he does in it
reason #875897549875409876509 why the army is fucked up
while at aircrew school in Pensacola, I saw few sailors get dropped on the spot for underage drinking or alcohol incidents by the MCPO at morning musters. He'd be yelling at them out there, and he would no shit give them 30 minutes to run upstairs and grab all their trash to get sent elsewhere. Of course they would get Captain's mast. He came down and talked to us NCO's when we checked in. He doesn't fuck around with underage drinking.
now about those pictures....
Who caught her? MPs? Local Police? Being handled in house?
My roommate on active duty was caught UAD in the barracks while playing Dungeons & Dragons with his friends on a Sunday afternoon. He had like 2 weeks of extra duty (clean up stuff) and had the go in front of the commander. No big deal really.
DUI people were losing a rank, 1/2 months pay and 45/45.
oh wow, you guys do get fucked in the ass for underage drinking.
