typical answer, your sig wouldn't even have the opportunity to blow up in its current form, i guess the trigger should be less reliable than the ammunition

there is one gunsmith in tally that everyone recommends gaunt or one of the other tally guys can probably tell you his name (I am out of town and cannot remember) but he seems to always be back logged.

Have you taken the gun down as far as you are comfortable to see if anything is glaringly broken?

all i did was take the slide off... i couldnt see anything broken at that time, but i didnt have a chance to take off the grip to look from that direction.

yeah, the only gunsmith i know of is named Alexander something or other-- he was a bit of a prick when he stopped by our booth at a gun show a year or so back

Bill Alexander I think is the name. No one will recommend anyone else and I haven't gotten a consistent recommendation in Lake City/ Live Oak or Jacksonville either.

I'd call SIG about their service plan. Pay $130, they replace all the springs, install new night sights and advise you of what the hell is wrong with your gun and what it will need from there. http://www.sigarms.com/CustomerService/SSP.aspx

its amazing, if someone bought a hammer and it broke, they'd take it back to home depot and never buy the same one again

yet with a gun, they become brandwhores, guns should be as reliable as hammers, if not, they are just as useless

and i also find it amazing that in the year i worked with the 2nd largest sig dealer in florida, we had all of about 2 returns to Sig for quality issues (both were GSR's, btw).

it seems i got the bad apple of the bunch.
