  4. Any pics of the whole car? Nice engine. Why did you go with a 26 though? 25 is much better for our s chasis. Are you planning on stroking it to 3.0, just wondering cause of you name.

Just looks like a stock S13 Silvia at the moment, still got to fit my suspension, wheels and widebody kit.

It is actually already stroked to 3L, if you notice the lower cover is 2 piece.. had to add in a bit to make it fit. It is storked by using another 3L bottom end from a Holden of all things. (nissan block)
Why do you say the Rb25 is better for the chassis?.. well the SR motor is probably perfect, but i'm crazy and thought a 3L Turbo would be more fun.. :)

Rb20 engine cross member. RB30 engine mount brackets and RB engine Mounts.
    Nothing fabricated.

The bonnet will need to be modified though as it will stick up about an inch and a half..

    very nice.

  21. From one 240sx enthusiast to another: You're car is sick, I love it.

What's the progress on it now? That's one serious engine you're dropping there, I look forward to hearing some results! And the paint in the cleaned engine bay looks great, she's going to look beautiful when it's all said and done.

Be sure to post some pics when it's finished!

I don't have enough time in the day between working, doing conversions for other people and helping friends with there cars..

Progress wise, I have all the parts needed now including the fuel system and ECU.
Just have to drop the engine in, fit intercooler pipes and a few other small things (which take the longest) and take it to be tuned.

Then there is a mammoth job on the exterior, fitting the widebody kit and painting..

I bought the S13 at the start of the year with a blown CA18DE engine for $1000NZ, it's taking a bit longer than I thought, would have taken half the time to just keep a Skyline.. :hs:

I think the turbo will be too small for a 3L engine.. but I can worry about that later.

  23. Sounds like a good plan. It definitely sounds like it's going to be a sweet ride when it's all finished.

What kind of Skyline did you used to have? I'm sure you miss it, they are fantastic cars.

    Anyways, good luck!

    Had a few Skylines, All R32's. GTS-T, GTS-4 and a few GTR's.
Best one is now doing 10.3's with a stock bottom end on street legal rubber :)
Fun car. Over 400kw at the wheels.

  25. Wow, those are some impressive rides and numbers. I wish we had Skylines over here...but oh well - I'll have fun with my 240 just the same :)
