My friend got an STi a few weeks ago, once he hit the 1K mi mark we went out for a little race. When I had racegas I pulled away from him pretty quickly, he was at about 140 when I was at around 155 or 160.
Tonight we met up with some other guys, two of whom had new Evos. One of them had to go, but we got a 3-way race later, and I pulled away from both :) , not nearly as fast though (I was running pump gas). They were about neck and neck. I will try to have some videos up soon, and I will get some pics up with them.

Its the natural choice :big grin:

First time I've seen an STi in silver. It was only offered in Blue or Black in the UK at the time we got ours. Still, looks good.

There is something about the Evo that turns me off. It doesn't seem to have any real major appeal(in looks mostly) besides being fast and awd.

I'm not the biggest fan of the front bumper, it looks curvey when the rest of the car is boxy, but with that FMIC it still looks pretty mean

nice dude!! which FMIC are you going with? DUH? If you're APR stg 2+ you're switching out RS4 ICs for the FMIC?

    Nice looking RS6 btw :)

no kidding!! for the cash I hope so :) How many miles are you at? I'm running apr 5.0 (just 93 map), and apr v1 ehxaust. I'm really happy with the performance right now, going to wait till the turbos go for more!

i've got about 34,000 mi. I am def waiting for turbo upgrades until the big kits are coming out (which should be in the next few months). I might do a widebody conversion in the meantime

mine has been pretty good. i had a throttle body and a 2nd gear synchro replaced under warranty. Ive been running a chip for 25,000 miles, and chip/dps/exhaust for about 13,000 and I have had no problems besides those two things (which were known to fail even on stock cars).

Wow. Are you still running the stock fuel system? And also, how much boost are you running?

mine has been running extremely well at 41k now. Extended warranty to 75k. Had the usual replacements - throttle body boot, both bypass valves (done by myself in < 45 minutes)

Been running APR v5.0 chip since 21k.

Stock turbos don't need any more fuel, apr v5.0 generally peaks around 17-18lbs and tapers down to 15lbs. K03s have a fairly low max capacity for boost.

Boondock - have you been looking into what Achtuning is coming out with? I have no IDEA what they can do for bigger turbos - there's no way they could get a bigger turbo housing without cutting into the frame!!

I'm not that knowledgeable with S4's and whatnot, but how are you doing an FMIC?? I've never heard of that being done before.
