Well, my interweb has been shutting down for a second or two, everytime I do mass downloading. I just plugged my computer directly into my modem and it stopped resting every couple of minutes.

Not Only that but my speeds went from 300-350kb to 500kb-1.5kb!!

Please help me pick out a router that Doesn't suck at teh life.

I'm looking for a router that allows me to open/close ports easily, firewall ability would be nice. I would like the wireless ablity, however I want it to have some type of wired ablity. Price cap is $100, I would prefer less though.

Keep in mind, I do mass downloading (DC++ up to 100 downloads on my 5mb/650kb line)

Btw, my current router is a Belkin, that looks like this:

I'm going to use the wired connection, however when I buy a notebook I will buy a 801.g card.

I've got the WRT54G and haven't had any problems with it (connecting from Macs, Windows machines, and my Linux box both wirelessly and non-wirelessly).

I've had horrible expereinces with Linksys. None of their products are very good, imho.

I've always been happy with Netgear.
