My powerbook came today!

    Early suprisingly, it was supposed to get here on monday (like im complaining) :) First mac for me, do i need anti virus stuff, or is it kinda pointless? also ne recommendations for a firewall? thx ;)

    firewall and antivirus are useless on a mac.
    Check the serial number for the battery recall tho.

    its a 12" so no battery concerns :)

    any1 have ne idea to access 2k3 domains? i cant access my domain @ home =oT

    anti virus software is pretty much pointless, but i'd say the best one out there would be symantec's mac os software. as far as a firewall is concerned, osx has a basic built in firewall, you're fine.

    buit-in firewall should certainly be sufficient, and virus software.... fuggedaboudit

    Congrats, I'm sure you'll love it. I have a 1st gen Titanium Powerbook. Its an oldie but goodie.
    Agreed, Symantec's Norton Internet Security is the best security package for the Mac. It contains AntiVirus, Personal Firewall and more. Maybe a bit overkill for a Mac, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
