So Im no professional and never claim to be. Actually Im quite to noob, and this was the first time really putting my S3 IS to work. Anyways, Ive posted a link to a bunch of pictures I took throughout the weekend, I felt they looked pretty good. Let me know what you think, tell me how to make shots better, whatever. Just dont tell me my pictures suck... even if they do. Well, just be nice about it

Cool shots, I'm sure you could have had more shots great shots if you were getting paid and had an all access pass though, but not all of us know people.

Yeah, cause everyone with a press pass must "know someone" and its all about the access to get good shots.

Really good job with an S3 those can be very hard to shoot fast subjects with.

In the posted photos though, I would not get so tight on the brakes, it doesnt leave enough to visualize what is going on. Pull back just a bit and get a little more of the car in. Eyes will still be drawn to the glowing brakes, but the viewer will have a better understanding of what exactly is going on.

I dont have lenses :o its a Canon S3 IS. Just a higher end P&S, no lenses or anything. All I did was manually focused on spot on the track, then panned with the car as it passed.
