I can dig it, looks a little heavy on the blue/purple
The one thing i've been getting pounded into my head is rule of thirds.
i like the colors, it just seems too centered to me. im still trying to figure out how i feel about the birds. the colors are cool tho...has a very Velvia feel to it.
That's pretty nice. I'd say fuck rule of thirds here, and crop the bottom out so it's dead centre/symmetrical. A little sharpening would've been gangster.
Not bad. Way too centered. Cool colors, but I doubt it looked like that in real life, PP?
building needs to be darker. right now I'm trying to figure out what it is...
cropped and sharpened:
A good bit better, looks good without the duck in the foreground. I'd still crop the building a little offcenter though.
You don't ALWAYS have to follow the rule of thirds.
But if you wanted to here, I'd crop it to show more water and less sky. Something like this perhaps:
i think with this particular photo, it would work better with the horizon right in the middle of the crop. to accommodate the mirror effect that is going on
Crop just enough so the reflection of the sky is the only think you see in the water, that'd make it better. Kind of what planb just said.
I'd like to see it offcenter, personally, but it's not a big issue. Besides, i'm barely getting into photography, what do I know?
I do think that duck in the foreground is very distracting though. The shot looks better without it.
no lie...the picture went straight from my camera to my computer and thats how it looked. no computer editing in any way. i dont like editing my pictures unless i absolutely had to.
this was a quick photo cuz i had to stop in the middle of the road to take it. its one of saddam's palaces in iraq.
I normally don't do much post on my pics either. Just decided to play around here. Hope you don't mind.
