:wtc: The owner who I'm good friends with told me that the rent was too much for their current location and business wasn't doing too hot either, so they just decided to close the store down as soon as they sell off all their remaining stock. :wtc:

For those of you that get your comics from online subscriptions, which services/stores do you use, how big of a discount do you get, and how is the service? I need to start setting up a subscription service as soon as possible. :x:

They're not big on action figures there, but they do order them for customers if they want. The owner said a lot of the guys with holds don't show up for months at a time, so now everything in the hold drawer is fair game. I can probably go back tomorrow or later today and see if he has anything in the Marvel Legends line for you.

So do you have any suggestions for a subscription service?

If you wouldn't mind, could you check to see what that store has of the Walking Dead and Invincible? Or, if the guy has an e-mail address and doesn't mind shipping, I'd probably buy quite a bit of stuff off him. Also, my local dealer would probably buy some of his inventory. Where is he located?

I know that they carry Walking Dead and Invincible. Were there certain issues that you were looking for?

I have his business card somewhere around here with his e-mail address. I think he was planning on eBaying any remaining stock if there's anything left after a week, but I'll let him know if your local dealer is interested.

He's located in Sparks, NV, so northern Nevada.

Do you have any guides on how to do it? I'm not very artistic (I'm an accountant  ) tho, I bet all of my stuff would come out like....

    "Hey, nice Beast!"

"That was supposed to be Psylocke :wtc:"

I just read on teh site that they ship UPS on the release date....so depending on how far away you live from NY....USPS is usually pretty fast, takes 2-3 days from ALASKA :eek5:

i can prolly find some online. my friends both are into it now. my other friend just made his first custom. its a Marvel Zombies Wolvie. it looks good for a first one. last night me and him tore apart my old Spawn figures for guns and grenades and miscellaneous stuff cause he is gonna make a Nuke next i think. it was a lot of fun to tear figures apart and salvage pieces to use for another figure

then my other friend has been doing it for awhile now. he is gonna finish up my US Agent figure and start working on the Thor's he is gonna make. one of which is gonna be an Eric Masterson Thor for me. then i think he said he could make me a Sentry from New Avengers. ill just have to find a Carnage so Sentry can be ripping him in half :)

 I'm looking for a good deal on the early issues, like 1-9, or somewhere close to that. I'd also probably buy a lot of avengers, iron man, and captain america if I could get a good price. Also looking for Y: The Last Man 1-5.

I checked some of the stuff in the hold cabinet, and there weren't any Marvel Legends figures, but there were some Spawn figures and a couple Marvel Select figures.

Well, they opened sometime in 2003, so all the stock that they have would be from that time onwards. They didn't order back issues when they opened that I'm aware of. The good thing is if they have them, they'll sell it for cover price. I'll look for the Invicible 1-9 and Y: The Last Man 1-5 for you, though.

If he has any of the following Marvel Select, I'd really like to get my hands on them:
    Dr. Doom
    Symbiote Spiderman
    Ultimate Captain America
    Ultimate Iron Man
    Ultimate Thor
