TAT my new tattoo.. question pertaining to sun

    I got my tattoo yesterday, i plan on going out and have a quesiton. Should I keep it covered while im outside in the sun? I dont feel like wearing pants, is there an easier way to cover it up?

    Cover it up. wrap it lightly with bandages? Long socks?

    I was thinking...piece of like.. plastic wrap.. and lightly tie a bandana around my leg?

    sure. I dunno about the plastic wrap but the bandana will work... I'm no pro so I'm just giving suggestions.

    true true. Slather the hell out of it in A&D ointment and tape teh plastic wrap on there or wrap it around....

    It is a day old so i don't think the plastic wrap will harm it. I just couldn't stnad having the plastic wrap on my tattoo when I twas still fresh.

    id either do like PE said and cover it in A&D and some cloth over it, or do the plastic wrap and cloth

    after its healed just throw some high SPF on it and try to keep it outa the sun as much as possible

    edit: looks great too, i like the sprocket, heart and peace sign all in one

    Your tattoo should be in direct sunlight until it's fully healed and even then it should be protected with sunblock. I don't recommend rebandaging it. Just wear pants.

    Are your pants super tight? If not then don't worry about it.

    uhm.. decently tight... in the calfs they are pretty tight, and there will definetly be rubbing

    If your tattoo is heavily scabbed (which it should not be) then I'd be careful with the pants. If it's just flaking then they'll be fine.

    its not too scabbed at all.. first time it flaked was last night (the first night) but it wasnt dried out or anything the next morning. Overall its seems to be heaing really well\
