Recently put up a "store" or landing site and looking for advice/tips/opinions.

    www.gadger.com

Basically just trying to filter some of the holiday iphone/ipod buyers though my affiliate links lol.

Planning to try out a small PPC campaign so if you have a related site and want to exchange links let me know :)

Change it from looking like a blog to a store.

    Good job.

Going off what the lurker says though, when I initially look at your site I think your store items are ads. :o Needs to look more like a store.

Thanks guys. Wasn't sure which way to go with it. Would probably get more people "trusting" it as a legitimate source if it looked more like a store but also thought it might get more people interested if it looked somewhat like a personal opinion blog.

I might try out a few themes to see how it feels with a more store like/professional feel. Maybe I should do some conversion test using multiple themes?

You could still go for the personalized blog aspect. Maybe right some reviews of the stuff you're selling. It'll help SEO too. While keeping the store factor looking like a store.

kingtoad, true and a good idea. Especially for getting more actual text/keywords in there.

michelin man, Not sure. I liked this because wordpress is super easy to install and setup, there are hundreds of cool plugins and thousands of decent themes to use. On top of that they are usually pretty well SEO'ed out of the box and can be optimized even more pretty easily. Not uncommon to see a wordpress site with a few inbound links to be indexed in a day.

If you are good at design or coding it wouldn't be too hard to make a wordpress site look like anything you want.

Here's another "store"/blog. www.bandofoutsiders.com However, you can't really purchase anything from their site. You have to go to eluxury.com
