it's a 1979 gmc 3/4 ton 4x4 trailering special. it has sat since 1995, under dirt and hydralic fluid. before the motor blew on the previous owner, it had been restored. i got it for free, the only problem was the former owner wanted the snow plow back. it killed 2 sockets just to get the plow off. oh and when loading it on to the tow bar, it almost cost me my index finger on my left hand. :o

The first truck I drove was my dad's 79 GMC 4x4. The thing was rusted all over by that time but it had all the power you could want plus some with the 400 that was in it.

yeah this has some rust, it was bought to be a/used as snow plow vehicle after it was first restored before the motor blew. looking at JCwhitney it seems to be about $200 worth of sheet metal to replace, which is not bad for that body style of truck. all the rust on the bed, is just surface rust.

JCW's replacement metal blows, my friend got some for his 64tbird, and the basic design was there, it jsut didnt flow, the bends werent right on..these are a few years old, so maybe theyve changed.
