    Pics coming when I go back out there and take them.

    Just towed my new Jeep ($100) :bowdown: from Flagstaff to Phoenix

    new=1989 Cherokee

    next step is getting it to run clean.

    Sweet shit. :) Is that a driveshaft in the back? Whats wrong with it as of now? I bought my '87 for $500. 4.0/4x4 with 210,xxx on it. Runs pretty good but it has it's issues.

    yup...rear driveshaft b/c it was on the tow dolly for 160 miles. Putting it back on today.

    Right now it needs a new battery, and then I'm running a compression test on it.

    I'm not really sure what's wrong with it, but when I start it up I have to constantly pump the gas pedal or else it dies.

    $100, 1989 cherokee limited 4x4 w/ 4.0 and 94k miles.

    got it from a friend who had to get rid of it

    Did you check panel gaps before purchasing? :big grin:

    Seriously though that thing's worth way more than that in parts alone.

    compression test went good. Needed new battery to run. It's pretty rough but it goes (kinda, not street driveable). Spark plugs look horrible, I think im gonna get some new ones tomorrow

    I think it needs a new fuel pump and alternator.

    You can flat-tow Jeeps though if you pop the transfer case into neutral. Plus I was curious if the front driveshaft had been removed as mine had.

    this jeep has part time and full time 4x4...i was under the impression that it wasn't the 231. I haven't even had a chance to look at it much since I got it home. Hopefully this weekend will be the start of me emptying my pockets.

    NP242 if it has a full time option.

    Either way its still a good idea to play it safe and pull the shaft
