A lot of people have been getting guns lately, so i thought it would be my time.

went to a lot of gun stores. saw a used G19 for $360, thought it was a good price and wasn't so sure. almost joined the glock crew.

anyways came upon this neat little gun. a 92S, which is the 2nd generation in the 92 series. made in italy, european mag release. so i had to get it. got it for $300 OTD. this is my 4th beretta i bought, but will be the 3rd i own right now.

Euro mag release is at the bottom, right? That was a selling point for you?

It is sorta unique if it is in fact there. which might have been a determining factor.

I need to order a 96G slide from CDNN for my other frame.

i had a 96D which i converted to SA/DA. that frame for some reason had the best trigger out of all the beretta's i have owned.

    I wish I could find a glock 19 for $360 locally. :( It probably wasn't a 3rd gen, though, was it?

they do share some parts with beretta's. that being said u might be able to replace the hammer spring with a D model. D models were double action only thus they have a lighter hammer spring. one of the very common mods for berettas.

when i had my PT92 i tried to take it apart, having taken 3 berettas apart before i thought it would be easy. but the innards of the taurus was just different enough that i couldn't get it out.

S9's closer to the G26 size wise. M9's closer to the 19.

The new S9A1s are out now, if you're interested :o

i thought the S9 was between the G26 and G19, where the M9 is between the G19 and G17.

I am more interested in a new S40 if they already came out. but i have no money anyways.

Thunderbear i thought you weren't a glock crew, but i see u got a glock no?

where can u find newer grips? D-spring mod work with these? yours seems to be in a better condition than mine, mine's definitely used a bit.

No, no Glock for me. It'll never point like an extension of my hand, the way the Steyrs do, so I'll stick with the other Austrian import for my combat plastic.

S40A1s are an estimated 30-60 days from release.

Yep, mine's in almost perfect condition ... no scratches or worn spots. I haven't even looked into modding it at all, either trigger work or grips.

I don't shoot the 92 much so I usually put money towards my 1911 or my AR15's

u mean the little take down lever? its more of a plum color. I was told over at the beretta forum that the older ones have those plum color because it is a different metal, or heat treatment. this gun is not brunitron (?) like newer 92's its blued.

Theres a small old Beretta in the gun room dated 1944. I think it has a green leather holster. Its in one marked with a swastika right now.

Also one of those 92 police specials that came in the denim box. It has a streamlight light/laser on it.
