GUN My new gun, let me show you it.

  1. I've always meant to get a shotgun to supplement my Glock for home defense. Well, since it was snowing today I didn't go to work, but I was able to get myself to the gun store. I looked pretty much everywhere for a Mossberg 500 Tactical, but it seems that nobody anywhere has them, and they apparently can't be ordered either. That made me sad. So I ended up getting a model 500 Persuader with a pistol grip, and then I just bought an adjustable stock for it. The only real differences between this and the Tactical are that this has a 20 inch barrel, compared to the 18.5 in the Tac. (this also holds 1 extra round) And I don't have a shell holder on the stock, but I don't expect to be engaged in a running gun battle for home defense anyways. So, here's what I ended up with:

That compliments this for home defense now:

    looks good.

lol, sorry about he av hijack. i like it.

  6. It's actually not bad at all. I've shot my father's G20 and I swear it has more felt recoil than the G29. I can't really explain it, but it's surprisingly easy to shoot. I think that the width of the grip helps a lot, I've always found guns with narrower grips less comfortable to shoot. Even my GF doesn't mind shooting it with the full power rounds I carry in it.

And what's this about an av hijack?

I hope you never mistake a container of cat nip for drying agent to put in you gun safe, or the next time they come out of the safe there may be a FD "Feline Discharge"

  11. The cat is almost totally disinterested in catnip. He'll paw at it a little, and sniff, but that's all. He LOVES eating cardboard though. If I ever leave a box lying around he'll attack it.

My parents have a cat that will do that with paper grocery bags, its funny as hell. We've learned you can't leave paper bags at the tops of the stairs . . . you wind up with a cat in a bag falling down the stairs.

:werd: 29 isn't bad to shoot at all people that have shot mine are usually suprised by how managable it is, I can put more rounds on target quicker with the 29 then I can with my .40 which is quite snappy.

  18. It's 36.5 inches. I wish it was the 18.5 inch barrel.
