Thought the idea sounded cool but actually getting addicted to just scrolling through seeing what people are willing to do.

Great way to get super cheap and quick logos done, even some coding/psd slicing and such. Looks like there are even craigslist spammers willing to work for you for $5 lol.

Concept: people offer up services/product they will do for $5 flat. You can buy/pay or you can offer your own service.

Spent $50 in like 15 minutes already lol

    Nice find.

Shame they don't have a 'tenner' site.

You get what you pay for. :dunno:

I wouldn't trust them with logo work or coding, but if I need to batch process shitloads of images, I wouldn't mind giving it to one of them drones. :bigthumb:

definitely agree. Though there are some pretty great deals on there too.

The one logo dude I tried kind of sucked but it's for a site I didn't plan to invest much in anyway. But he didn't listen to anything I said and gave me a pretty generic "logo". He did do a revision for me but that still was off a bit. I think the problem was it was for an "adult" site and he just didn't understand what a "taint" was :mamoru:

edit: here is the logo work $5 gets you (at least from this guy)

my placeholder logo I made to give him an idea what I was looking for. If it's not obvious the upside down "a" and "o" are supposed to work together to look like a female taint :o

I told him all that and he said he understood and was fine doing "adult" themed logos. Here is what he sent back:

Not complete crap but nothing special and very generic. Didn't do anything with the letters like I asked/suggested and didn't even bother to try to match the site colors. Problem was he didn't know what a taint was so I had to explain it to him even sending one of my favorite taint shot images

    He replied back with this:

Closer but think he still doesn't really get it...though maybe he just likes gaping asses and fat vag's? :mamoru:

So yeah, got my monies worth on that one

...pretty cheap way to get your content out there though. Paid one guy to write an article for me, another to submit it to 200 article directories, another to tweet it to 12k followers and another to send it out in a newsletter. So $20 and I spend 15 minutes and get a lot more exposure than I would care to spend time doing myself lol.

How much of that work do you think actually got done?

Obviously the article was written (or at least copied), but have you checked incoming links and seen any kind of result from it?

    Just cuz I'm curious.

    Results so far:

    - one, well two, shitty logos
    - testing another guy to see how he does. I actually think it is worth $5 just to ask random people to make a logo look like a taint :mamoru:. So I might end up doing it multiple times just for the fun of it lol.

    - first "tweet" test sucked ass. They had 13k followers and the accounts were pretty spammed out. Last check I got 4 hits from it...one was me :squint:
    - trying a couple more to see if there are some actual good accounts to tweet with on there.

    - 3 separate people cancelled my order for articles/blog post for some reason. The subject was "netbooks" so maybe they didn't know enough about the subject. They don't have a way for them to give feedback when denying a job so no idea why.
    - one other article guy did pretty decent. Nothing you couldn't find on DP for a couple bucks cheaper though
    - another looks like he may be an awesome source and I may hire him long term if all his work checks out.

    - one "facebook" post guy sucked ass. Well at least for my needs. I guess I should have asked for some more info about demographics or something but turned out he was Indian and most of his friends were as well. My offer is US/Canada only :hsd:

    - one pernament link on a Alexa 304,736 site. Didn't bother to even check if it was nofollow or not. Traffic is likely shitty and the site is only a month old but $5 for a perm link isn't bad I guess.

    - haven't followed up on the newsletter one yet but don't expect much from that. Again, for $5 it's worth just getting my new sites link out there.

    - still waiting on a good article to give to the article submitter guy.

Probably a few more that haven't started yet that I already forgot about lol. And a couple I don't want to talk about just yet :hsugh:

I didn't expect much for $5 with most of these but so far it's been worth finding a few decent people to keep on my outsource list.

Anyone found any others worth using?
