I just read item 37 of the bylaws... no car washing permitted in the parking garage or on any common element :(

  2. How big is the building unit wise?

I know some of the condos in Toronto have onsite automated car washes. If not they usually have an agreement with a local car wash on fixed price for owners.

Go to a board meeting and complain; i'm sure theres something they can do.

The place I was looking at had that rule too. I told the lady that I wash my own car and she said that they don't allow that b/c it makes the place look bad. She then told me that the exxon down the street had a car wash I could use. LOL

I wouldn't move anywhere that has a rule against detailing. It is one of my favorite hobbies.

I couldn't find a condo in London that didn't have that rule... but you only get in trouble if someone complains. I'm allowed to polish, just not wash....

but I'll QEW it anyhow. And maybe go to a boardmeeting and get it on the agenda to allow QEW and other "waterless wash" products to be used in the parking garage.

    The unit is 1050 FT^2
Pics to come. Just got the keys :big grin:

The law is about language and how each percieves it.

I think QEW would be fine. I have the same problem with my place. It is mainly due to waste off the vehicle they said :nixweiss

And it's only breaking the rules if someone who doesn't like you sees you doing it and complains....
