i got a new amp yesterday..

went to this place called "cartunes" and they checked out my old amp and said it wasn't powerful enough to run my two 15s

    so they installed this badboy

    Crossfire VR-600D

in any event, i'm going to return my old hifonics amp and get a new one in return

so does anyone want to buy a new hifonics bx1500d eventually? :naughty:

Cartunes on Stevens Creek and Saratoga (I think)? They are crooks from way back when. Just like Crazy Benny's. Stupid question, but did you try turning up the gain before you shelled out the extra bucks? I'd just think that the HiFonics would do the job. Let me know what you want for it!

How could 1500 watts not be enough for 2 15's? :dunno: I think you got taken.

I think the problem he had with the Hifonics is that they both broke, and he had to return both of them.

As for the fact that Crossfire is louder than the Hifonics, it could be that that since both of the Hifonics amps he had were broken, they were unable to play at full volume.

A higher quality amplifier doesn't need as much wattage to be louder. With a cheaper amplifier, you are getting a lot of distorted wattage, and everyone knows that clean power is better, just ask monster cable.

So where does this power come from to make your speakers louder? Does it appear from thin air?

Yeah lol, i am sick of this thing about clean and dirty power.

Power is power. A cheap amp will just simply not make its rated power.

A pyle 1000watt amp will make 150watts of clean power :)

If the hifonics were broken sure, they were probably internally damaged and could not produce much output if any.

04 knows what he is talking about so just talk to him lol, i am kind of clueless myself but i agree you got taken. THe plus is that now you won't buy hifonics in the future since you are not satisfied. Try planet audio. THe amps are not expensive and they work (biased)

Not like it matters anyways. :hs: IME people who believe that there are differences between amplifier 'sound quality' will continue to do so, regardless of proof available.

Its like the people who pay outrageous money to people who claim to be psychics. There is much proof to the contrary, but they 'felt the presence' themselves, and because of that, they are unwilling to change their beliefs.
