A&P My new 70-200mm IS and monopod

    Here's a pic of my new [rented :o ] 70-200mm IS lens. I used it at the Oregon vs Illinois basketball game this past Saturday. I :love: the image stabilization. It goes from shake to smooth when you focus. It definitley would be worth the extra $600 for it. Pics on it were ok, but I was shooting a lot at ISO 1600 and f/2.8 to keep the shutter around 1/1000. I shot over 200 pics, but I gotta convert them from RAW, and don't feel like doing it all now, so heres one :o

    And I also picked up a Manfrotto 3245 monopod for $79. It was the last one. I didn't even see them on Ebay. I liked it because it has the grip for raising and lowering it quickly.

    I <3 my 70-200 IS, great lens. :)

    The grip to raise/lower that tripod looks sweet. :cool:

    nice lens but i hate how canon (and others) makes them white.

    Try using a black lens in 100F sunny weather.

    :rofl: It's funny, because I just walked by the old lady at the bag check table and she didn't say anything to me. And I gave the monopod to my friend who was using it as a cane :o

    very good monopod, but dont put more than the reccomended weight on it.

    they work really well until they get overloaded... haha.
