i've owned 3 different apple notebooks and have never seen that message before. So something may be up in the hardware, log on to apple.com and make an appt. at the genius bar of your local store, and let em' know whats going on with it.

download OnyX and run the cleaning portion of the program. select everything except "mail downloads" and "Force Empty Trash"
that might help with your problems. and Yes, That Screen is Apple's version of the blue screen of death. I've had a couple in my day

if you still have problems and OnyX didn't help, then call applecare; 1-800-275-2273

i say bring it in, with that on the screen and say it keeps happening alot, odds are they will hand you a new laptop after checking it out, or they might go through the trouble of finding out what the problem is and then fixing it, either way, you win

Ive never owned an apple product that has needed repair, but I do know that when i replace mobos on PC's, a reformat is certain. If you dont have a backup system alreayd in place, now is definatley the time to set one up, kernal panics rarely go away.

QFT. The new age of apple is beginning to sadden me. I hope they don't ruin their rep with these damn intel books.

From one of your original apple disks, there is one that allows you to run a "hardware test" that will test out your ram and hdd.. might want to try that first as well..

but yah this should be taken to apple..

So maybe it has been those Intel processors causing even MS Windows to blue screen all along and not just MS? :eek3:
