My macbook is makes a weird noise when I close the screen.

    It sounds like an unoiled door or something. Its really annoying me right now. I dont know what I should do about it. I have applecare but they're going to laugh at me if i bring it in with this problem.

    Mine does the same thing occasionally. It used to bug me, but not as much as the whine. It's currently in repair to get a new logic board...maybe they'll throw a little oil on the hinges ;)

    yeahh i dont want to send my computer away for 2 weeks because of this but at the same time its only a month and a half old and shouldnt be doing this. Mac and I have a love/hate relationship.

    Doubt it would take 2 weeks. They overnight everything. I sent mine off yesterday (from Cali) and it's already being repaired in their Texas location.

    Take it to an Apple store and see what a 'genius' says about it first. Maybe there is already a solution they can do for you at the store (you never know).

    Yeah I have free time tommorow so im gonna go to the Apple store. It takes a long time to get an appointment right?

    if u have applecare get it fixed. who gives a shit. u payed lots of money for ur protection plan - use it.

    should be covered for the first year, applecare or not. Right? then the next two years is the AppleCare extended warrany?
