I have only had it a couple weeks so I dont have much saved to it, is there a way I can clear it all, and start all over?

    Applications>Utilities>Activity Monitor.

It's a start to see what's hogging your resources.

or you can just open a shell and type in "top" to see whats going on. I've found that activity monitor isn't very good at specificly finding out where memory and resource hogs are.

Also check versiontracker for some cleaning tools. Alot of times OSX won't be able to clean out old log files until you reboot, repair permissions, or such. If you put your machine to sleep insted of shutting down and cold booting you can start to have problems like this, unless you let it run constantly. Clearing out the logs will help.
