its not reading the battery at all
ive had this happen with 2 laptops before (one powerbook, and another gateway). for the gateway, i had it plugged in, then there was a power outage and it surged the computer. everything worked except for the battery (even after getting a new one). my powerbook was a little different. i had the adapter plugged into my powerbook, then when i plugged it into the wall, it sparked a little, then when i unplugged the plug, the computer shut off. it toasted the battery. did anything like that happen?
nope. it just charged overnight and now its dead.
are you still under warranty?
no it was the one that came with my MB. 2 months ago.
what would make it so i dont qualify?
yeah i just got it in january. and i'm sure as shit getting applecare now when my year is up
thanks but it didnt work
Push the button on the battery. Do the lights light up at all?
the first one just flashes.
should i do that or make an appt. at the genius bar?
cool i'll call tomorrow.
FYI, I had to wait almost a month for a replacement battery for my MacBook. They didn't have any in stock
better than not getting a battery at all
i just got an email from apple a couple days ago saying my period for phone support was over until i got applecare
standard warranty includes 90 day phone support
They're sending me a new battery
well the battery got here today and my macbook works again
wow... 4 days, 2 of which were the weekend. very nice!
yeah i was suprised. i'm glad this wasnt an apple issue too, i'm assuming its the fault of whoever makes their batteries
IIRC, that would be Sony
