    Post your stats!

My 15 inch Aluminum PowerBook G4.

Bought it Xmas of 03 and still love the damn thing. Man it was fast then though, coming off of a 1st gen iMac with 16MB RAM and a 4 GB HDD. And shit, OS 8 sucked...a lot.

    Anyone with me?

I call it a POS because it can't run Final Cut Pro HD, PhotoShop CS, etc at any respectable speed. Don't get me wrong though, I love my PB. Tough as a mofo too, been dropped on tile from like 6 feet with no damage (well, a tarnished cover).

Out (well, on the POS part). I really don't care about the Core Duo vs Core 2 Duo, I saved like $1000 dollars on this because it was a Core Duo vs Core 2 Duo (apple refurb ftw). My only complaint is that I need more RAM :o

Does yours have the 256MB dedicated video ram? Thats was the big seller for me, I recently took a class where we used Maya, and it got me really interested. So I've been playing around with it since, and its nice to work on stuff like that.

Plus the games are :big grin:.

    Yup, mine is a 15.

Thats why mine was 1549, not 1799.

I had OSX 10.2 running on a 266MHZ bubble with 128MB of RAM. Since then I've updated to a 500MHZ G4 with 768 MB of RAM. I use it for Internet access. Yeah, it's slow, but it's secure.

I don't want to spend $2000 for another Mac any more than I want to spend $1000 to build a PC that runs Vista.
