I bought a CD today
"Confessions of A Knife"
they are really cool. New fav band.
Ride the Mindwaaaay
(heaven help you)
I knew you'd dig that cd
I think I'll play some TKK now
I like the girl in "Ride the Mindway" who says "Go Daddy Go, Oh Daddy Oh.."
I've seen those guys so many times, and evey time it's always been a good show. WAY back in 95 they played with KMFDM and I have to say that was thier best performance. Besides confessions of a knife, you should also check out Sexplosion.
I still think you need to check out more PJ Harvey when you get the chance. And if you like TKK, check out KMFDM (you'll like Nihil), The Jesus and Mary Chain and Sister Machine Gun.
Here's a gift for you (you may already have it), even though you never talk to me anymore...
"After the Flesh"
Don't forget Bermingham 6, Pigface, and The Revolting Cocks. Also along the same lines as TKK, KMFDM and such.
I know likes PJ Harvey and loves The Revolting Cocks
KMFDM is a great recommendation
you sent me lots of PJ! Thanks I love 'er! I've heard Sister Machine Gun as well, which I also likes!!
BTW you dont talk to me either
I do. You never reply.
In fact, try to find the KMFDM/TKK mutual remix cd. KMFDM redid "Days of Swine and Roses", and TKK redid Naive.
yeah I got that one a long time ago, it's pretty damn hard to find these days. If anybody needs it, I ripped it, 256kbs. regular mp3 format, or acc.
MAD PUNK have you seen them recently? They've come by denver twice in the last year, I've missed both of them
I haven't heard TKK, but I have heard of them. Anyone willing to share the love?
TKK played just last spring over here at Nation. Don't know when the next set of tours will be, but when I get some information, I'll be sure to post it. Don't hold your breath though, it's getting longer and longer between shows.
Did you see them though? What's their setlist like, aren't they getting a bit old?
I don't care about kmfdm daneman, sorry
Of course I saw them, I work there. They are getting old but they played well, pretty good energy on the stage. Thier soundman however sucked, the show was plagued by feedback and low vocals.
I saw MLWTTKK back in 1989. When they played "Do you fear for your child" it freaked out one of the people I was with so much that he left.
Last I saw, they had become more of a campy act.
When KMFDM was here in 95, they had God Lives Underwater (who really sucked really bad) and the Genitorturers. I wish I'd seen your show instead.
KMFDM > TKK although TKK aren't bad by any means.
i saw them perform "sex on wheels" with lords of acid back in 97, good show..
you're about 10 years late with this thread eh. tkk went out with velcro shoes.
some things never stop being cool.
