Needless to say, the show sucked.
the shows are starting to suck dick now. no good deals, might as well stay home and order online.
Really? Damn I loved going to the shows. I guess there still fun to go and look around at all the shit they have.
No beef jerky? At least tell me you got your knife sharpened
Sterling, have you been to the Charlotte show lately? I haven't been in so long, probably because they have been getting progressivley worse.
It's that bad, eh? Just be happy you don't live in California.
Yup... the shows aren't that great anymore. I'd go maybe to hunt around for a nice older rifle but even when I was there looking for a low serial number M1 Garand a lot of the guy's had laquered up the stocks so they were super shiney. Made the guns ugly as hell.
Plus those guys don't know the deals you can get online. One guy wanted $100 for a factory 20 round Mini-14 mag. I had just ordered 3 online for $35 each.
How much were they charging for an M1 Garand?
i love going to the shows... but then again, i get in for free
if i had to pay, i probably wouldnt go anymore
Decent ones were $700+
If any of you live in New England, the shows at the Big E in West Springfield are still pretty good. Usually takes me from 9:30AM-4:00PM to get all the way through. There one coming up, December 10 I think.
Not a whole hell of a lot to see.
HK94, unfired with POS BSA "claw" mount was $4,200. Way overpriced, but, it was unfired; the claw marks still eat into that.
The only other thing that ticked my nuts was a AR-50. Overpriced as well -- $2,985. I will get one, but not for that price.
Anyway, the $7 I paid to get in was hardly worth it.
All shows suck now.
Tulsa is about the only decent one anymore. Even then, you dont really find any great bargains and most people there selling cool stuff have that "look what I have and I want a lot for it" disease.
