Wood stock blued with bull barrel. The accutrigger is pretty awesome, not too fond of the trigger safety though. Sighted it in at 100 then exploded a little bird at about 40 yards. That was fun so I blew a big ass hole in a turtle at about 130 yds. I'm loving it so far.
    Pics tomorrow.

Had a Simmons 2.5-10x44 laying around. Not sure where it came from or why we didn't already have it on a gun, it's pretty badass.

We set out a line in the creek that runs through our golf course and caught more turtles than fish, so we're trying to thin them out a bit.

Borrowed the bipod off my .308

    Please excuse my ignorance:

I'm not too fond of the AccuRelease™, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Are you guys shooting 17gr or 20gr? I haven't looked at the price difference, but I'd like to try some 20's just to see how the gun likes them.

It's like a glock trigger, except the blade is a lot bigger.

I could see how it would be difficult to shoot them in the water. They can retract their heads pretty fast.

I have only shot 17gr stuff, the TNTs and Vmax. TNT seems to group better for me, but my rifle doesnt seem to want to feed it when it hasnt been warmed up with some Vmax first.

It's a common problem, you can justy bend the rod that the clip loads up into (or against) towards the barrel a little and it should fix that. Or you can call Savage and they should send you a fre magazine.

actually, It looks to me like if I bent the feed lips a tiny bit to get the rounds straighter in the mag relative to the barrel, it would work fine.
