This would be the smartest choice but sometimes piercees aren't always smart. :hsugh:

Go see your piercer. Infection is dark discharge, blood, redness, warmth around the piercing site.

Green/black discharge. Take a pic of your lip and post it or PM it to me so I can see the piercing site.

go to your local shop, they would probably give you some for free. and yea, just soak it brah, it will probably clear up in less than a week if you soak it like two or three times a day.

So I got th Sea salt and i tried doing this...

    http://www.ehow.com/how_5282369_cure-piercings-sea-salt-soak.html

but i have no shot glass so what i did was full a cup with some sea salt (it was from hain btw i don't know if that matters) filled the rest with warm water and stirred it. Then i poured the mixture above my bottom lip and its drizzled down and removed some crusties. Think thats an ok way to do a salt soak?

the point of a "soak" is to let the piercing or wound to get all flushed out. the salt and warm water draws discharge away from and out of the wound as it soaks. just go buy a shot glass. simply pouring water over it will help, but will do very little.

yea dude just take the shot glass, fill it with warm water, a pinch of salt, and put the rim up to your labret. just let the labret soak for about 10 minutes or so. do it once or twice a day. maybe shake the shot glass around a bit to let the water mix up.

when it starts to go away. I used the same salt/distilled water. honestly easiest on the lip. just look down and dip it in. I had to do this on both of my wrists and that was a PITA.
