If you use ClearCheckbook or would like to and have an iPhone/iPod Touch, you can beta test the interface so far.

    http://www.clearcheckbook.com/mobile/

Right now you can register, sign in, read the blog, add / edit / delete transactions, view your overall balances, jive/unjive entries and switch between accounts.

I still have to get the credit card interface working (might take that out of the initial release), need to iphone-ize the reports and get the tools/settings set up.

I'm hoping to have all of this done by Friday night.

Oh yeah, I bought an iPod Touch yesterday to test the site on and I think it looks pretty good :o

If you try it out, let me know what you think.

I'm really hoping this will bring a whole new audience to the site :x:

If I can get Apple to add it to their Webapp directory and get a few key blogs to pick up on the new app, this should really increase my active user base

It makes me a little sick because I found out Mint.com... a similar site but it interfaces with your bank... just got $17 million in VC funding :wtc:

    oh well

OT is what convinced me to make it a real site and not just something I run on my localhost :o

Find something mint is lacking that you can implement?

I still have people email me every once in a while and tell me that ClearCheckbook is better than mint and all the other sites they've tried.

It just sucks being one developer for all of ClearCheckbook and knowing that Mint and Wesabe have millions of dollars behind them and teams of developers.

I only have the capacity to do so much and still keep a real job to pay the bills :o

that is the exact reason why i went with Clear Checkbook, right now I don't really trust any outside site interfacing with my banks. Plus if i have to manually enter the stuff it forces me to stay on top of it, which I like. I'm also looking forward to getting my a 3G iphone when it comes out and being able to load clearcheckbook up on that thing :wiggle:

I also love how you make a "mobile" interface and just target it towards the iphone users. Windows Mobile user base is like 20 times larger, and they cant view the site properly.
